Following on from an epic party featuring Argentinean dj / producer Douster, Scattermusic brings Melbourne yet another dance music heavyweight from the South American Continent, Edu K. This will be a somewhat more special gig than usual as his recent ‘Ja, Maan!’ ep hit stores as the second official release by Melbourne label Scattermusic. Having devastated dancfloors on several previous visits to this
city, this show looks set to be an early high point of 2010. Support comes courtesy of Slap n Dash, Mu Gen, Scattermish, Matt Cant and Lewis CanCut. Admission will be free as always.

Having broken through as a baile funk producer and vocalist many years ago, Edu K has since gone on to master every genre he’s touched such as a ‘new rave’, ‘minimal world’ and ‘tech house’. In doing so he’s built up an impressive discography with releases on labels Man Recordings (ger), Sweat it Out (syd), Scattermusic (melb) and Dirty Bird (ger), a list just as diverse as the records he’s produced. Despite the dance music industry being notoriously fickle, he has constantly remained a hot name, always aware of current trends, yet never too deep in each too keep moving forward. As a global performer he’s become proof that longevity is not entirely impossible.
