Mat Cant… or can he??
After working on his craft for 4 years in Shepparton, Geelong and the rest of Regional Victoria, Mat made the move to Melbourne in 2008 and has quickly found himself settled in the Melbourne Club scene. With residencies at well respected venues like Revolver, The Espy and Ding Dong, Mat knows how to keep the party moving.
Mat Cant has played to crowds across Australia and his online mix tapes continue to get thousands of downloads. In the past year he has supported Scottie B, Dave Nada, DJ Sega, DJ Benzi, AC Slater, Trevor Loveys, Mumdance, Detboi, Jesse Rose, Oliver $, LMFAO, DJ Falcon, James Curd, Rico Tubbs, A1 Bassline, Foamo, Edu K, Douster, N.A.S.A, Santiago & Bushido, Spinderella, Marc Romboy, Kelevra, Tepr, Daniel Steinberg, Rob Threezy and the cream of the crop of Australian DJ/Producers.
Mat is also co-owner of the online record label Scattermusic and writer for the internationally acclaimed music blog, The Scatterblog. Mat’s production is something he is really starting to work on right now and has been colaborating with some of the heavyweights in the industry like Nick Thayer, AC Slater and releasing a EP with Scattermish in October 09 with remixes from Sticky K (dubsided), The Hump Day Project, Yacht Club DJs & Paz. Mat’s production has also had International radio air play, included in mixtapes by HeavyFeet, Dubble Dutch and blogged on various blog sites on the internet. With many original tracks and remixes in the pipe-works at the moment, Mat Cant is a name to watch in 2010.
