As a DJ Scattermish is right on the pulse of new underground music, flipping it for everyone to party to. As a forward thinking producer he is forever exploring new ways to create, new sounds to sample, and new genres to tweek. As a blogger he’s one step ahead of the game, breaking new artists from around the globe and preempting music trends that don’t yet exist.
Scattermish is one part of DJ and production duo Slap & Dash; one part of the well renowned group Digital Manges; co-owner of the online record label Scattermusic and founder and writer for the internationally acclaimed music blog, The Scatterblog. Scattermish’s discography of tracks and remixes is exponentially growing: he has collaborated on original tracks with a range of artists including Mu-Gen, Mat Cant, Lewis CanCut, Paz, Spoek, D-Fro and remixed the likes of Edu K, N.A.S.A, Detboi, Phrase, Kelevra, Digital Primate, The Young Lovers, 3 Is A Crowd and Killa Queenz to great effect. In 2008/2009 his Digital Manges EPs got in the top 3 new best sellers list on Turntable Lab and #1 on the Juno Download charts. His tracks have garnered support from a host of the worlds top DJs including Diplo, Drop The Lime, Laidback Luke, Sinden, Act Yo Age, Jaymo and Andy George, Neoteric and Kissy Sell Out to name a few. With a new ep out with Mat Cant on Scattermusic, a Slap & Dash ep featuring Spoek and a solo EP in the works, Scattermish will be a name to watch in 2010.
Scattermish has played to crowds across Australia and New Zeland and his online mix tapes have counted up thousands of downloads. In the past two years he has supported N.A.S.A., Drop The Lime, DJ Sega, Dave Nada, Detboi, Edu K, Scottie B, Benzi, Foamo, Rico Tubbs, Kelevra, Pase Rock, Hannah Holland and Rob Threezy.
