KILLA QUEENZ & BOY WONDER (Ooh-Ee)

Well, we are starting to rule big time down here south of the equator. Or is it that the world is starting to pay attention? Don’t really know or care, either way tons of local joints dropping recently all seem to be making their way into my playlist. It makes me all proud and stuff to be posting a collab between two of my favourite Aussie artists.

Out now on the home grown, and way rad label SWEAT IT OUT is a new release from super fine Sydney duo Killa Queenz. I have been doing gigs with these girls for a few years now and they get better every time I bare witness. To top off the release, there is a bunch of remixes from the likes of South Rakkas Crew, Zombie Disco Squad, Yolanda Be Cool and of course the heat in the basket, and my homeboy, Melbourne’s own Ooh-Ee remix.

Ooh-Ee is on another dimension at the moment. From talking to him of late he seems to be making music for himself, which is where all good things come from I say. Be prepared for melodic basslines and emotive chord progressions on his original release which should drop mid to late ’09.
