Oh yea it’s the jumpoff now son! This one’s a bit of bloggers delight i guess you could say. scattermish (aka me) and you’re new favourite blogger Buff Diss are starting up a night called Leaky Holes In Your Brain (aye, the words under the title of this blog). You may have heard us mention it in other posts, i’m pretty sure there was something scattered through somewhere…

Basically we wanna create a night that combines moving image, live art and street art and dope music in one. Kinda like a bit of a future primitive style, just more club-y and less stage-y i spose, with our own personal twist, hmm the only thing similar is we wanna have music and visual art moulding as one.

The art will be buffer doing some masking tape, and getting some of his painting mates to do stuff too, local and internation street artists hopefully…

Also there’s some really innovative VJs who are interested in the project who have worked with buff before, who make their own programs, and project onto all kindsa things.

The beats will be along that kinda hip-hopy electro fidget house and, *dare i say it* bmore baile, sound i’ve been trying to push through the blog. This will hopefully include some internationals along with many of the finest who are into a new sound from oz.

OK so that’s the plan, and that’s what the night is gonna turn into!

For now though, we’ve got more of a DJ night to build up the buzz. We’re still looking for a suitable venue for us to be able to put all of that stuff in (we’ve got a couple in mind, but feel free to suggest/offer some more to us). At the moment we have Loop Bar, which is in the city, at 23 Meyers place (opposite metro, down the laneway next to hard rock cafe). There’s not really the right space to have all the artwork in there. BUT we still will have buff diss masking up the laneway, and we have a mad VJ Sauce Face who will be on the projectors for the night. Also we have awesome guest DJs Loot (mad producer too), and Emillionzzz (previously known as Ems, who i was gonna do the Oh Snap! night with)

So it’s opening night, there’s gonna be a great vibe, and lotsa peeps. AND IT’S FREE…
